Eleanor Bedlow works in between the disciplines of drawing, painting and sculpture. The work often pairs tactile and organic forms with elongated extensions and structures. Precarious elements within the work can often be adjusted to allow them to balance temporarily in the space. Familiar yet alien at the same time the forms present in both sculptures and drawings feel as though they are exploring, leaning, feeling, listening.

Developing ideas by oscillating between drawing and sculpture has become a rhythm within her studio practice.  The forms in the drawings have individual characteristics and personalities existing in a world free from the rules of gravity or having to be defined by the reality of the material world.

Lives and works in London, Grew up in Kagawa, Japan and London, UK
