Summer Drawing Classes, London

Drawing in the park: 8 week course Sundays 12th July to 30th August.
10:30 – 4:30 (half day bookings are available)

A mixed ability 8 week course suited to complete beginners and people wanting to gain skills and confidence in drawing. This is a relaxed drawing class with experienced tuition taking place in the parks and open spaces across London including: Kensington gardens, St James Park and Hyde Park. (meeting points will be near stations)

Each week will have a focus point to think about and a subject including: proportion, mark-making, the figure in space, scale, tone and composition. There will be a professional model to draw from for 4 out of the 8 sessions. There will be a meeting point each week with a contingency plan for rain which will include either drawing from a covered area or working inside a museum. Please provide a phone number when booking so that updates can be sent out on rainy days. A full course outline with meeting points will be sent out 2 weeks before the start of the course. 

Materials: A3 clipboards, charcoal and A3 paper will be provided. Please bring any other materials you would like to work with. It might be that you want to bring a larger drawing board, other drawing materials or paints for the weeks with long poses. We can talk through the course structure on the first day and discuss possibilities.
